Tynor D 09 Functional Medium Knee Support is used for offering rigid lateral support and immobilisation during side movements, while still providing freedom of forward and backwards motion. This knee support is made from four-way stretchable elastic fabric that delivers uniform compression. This gentle pressure supports the joint and muscles without constricting blood flow, ensuring comfort during prolonged use. • Measure the circumference of your thigh approximately 6 inches above the knee.
• For Medium size, the ideal measurement is 43–49 cm. A snug but comfortable fit ensures effective support.
• Open all the front velcro closures and lay the brace flat.
• Identify the top (thigh end) and bottom (calf end), and make sure the aluminium hinges are on either side.
• Position the open patella ring directly over your kneecap (front centre of the knee).
• The hinges should lie vertically along the inner and outer sides of the leg, aligning with the natural knee joint.
• Wrap the upper strap around your thigh and the lower strap around your calf.
• Fasten each strap firmly, adjusting the tension to feel supported but not restricted.
• Wrap and close the centre portion for added compression and stability.
• Ensure all straps are smooth, flat and not pinching your skin.
• Walk around a few steps to make sure the brace stays in place and feels comfortable.
