Tynor D 08 Medium Elastic Knee Support is used for applying adjustable compression around the knee to relieve tension on ligaments and joints. It is designed to ease discomfort and support healing during movement. This knee support contains strong aluminium hinges on both sides, which help provide firm lateral stabilisation while allowing full flexion, supporting the knee without restricting natural motion. It features a patellar opening with cushioning to relieve pressure, holding the kneecap in place and is suitable for patellofemoral conditions. This wrap-around, front-close design enables smooth application even on swollen or asymmetrical knees, including easy use by elderly or less mobile users. This knee support incorporates a dorsal opening on the back of the knee to manage bunching or constriction during flexion, improving comfort and avoiding circulation issues. • Measure the circumference of your thigh approximately 6 inches above the knee.
• For Medium size, the ideal range is 43–49 cm. Proper sizing ensures effective compression and comfort.
• Lay the knee support flat and release the front Velcro closures before application.
• Ensure the side hinges and patellar opening are correctly aligned for use.
• Position the support so the patellar hole aligns with your kneecap (front of the knee).
• Make sure the hinges lie on either side of your knee for optimal lateral support.
• Pull the upper and lower ends snugly around your thigh and calf.
• Secure the Velcro straps to achieve a firm but comfortable fit, tight enough for support, not so tight that it restricts circulation.
• Walk around gently to ensure the brace stays in place without sliding or pinching.
• Adjust if needed to maintain compression while allowing free bending and extension.
• Take off during long periods of rest or sleep unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional.
