Rossmax Pf120a Peak Flow Meter 1

Rossmax Pf120a Peak Flow Meter 1 is used for monitoring respiratory conditions such as asthma. It is a compact, lightweight device designed for adults. It measures the speed of air expelled from the lungs, helping assess respiratory health. The device is colour-coded, making readings simple and easy to interpret. Rossmax Peak Flow Meter is used to measure peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR), an important indicator of your lung function. It can be reused after proper washing, making it both hygienic and economical.

• Measurement Range: The PF120A measures airflow between 60-800 L/min BTPS while the PF120C is suited for a range of 50-400 L/min BTPS. It helps provide accurate monitoring for different respiratory conditions.
   
• Accuracy: It helps provide precision with an accuracy of ±10 L/min or ±10% of the reading, whichever is greater and ensures reliable results.
   
• Repeatability: It may ensure consistent readings with repeatability of 5 L/min or ±5% of the reading whichever is greater.
   
• Storage Condition: Best stored in temperatures ranging from ±10 to 35°C with 30 to 75% relative humidity to help maintain optimal functionality.
   
• Max Resistance: It helps provide low resistance at 0.00384 kPa/L/min at a flow rate of 720 L/min. It may ensure smooth airflow measurement.
   
• Altitude Effects: Readings decrease approximately by 5% for every 1000m of altitude to help reduce air density which proportionally increases peak expiratory flow (PEF).
   
• Frequency Response: Demonstrates a minimal profile difference (A/B) of less than 15 L/min or 15%. It helps maintain consistency across varied airflow conditions.

• Set the red indicator to the bottom of the scale. Stand up, take a deep breath, place your mouth around the peak flow meter and hold it horizontally, your lips forming a tight seal. Blow the air out as hard and as fast as possible. 
• The number where the indicator stops is your peak measurement. Repeat the steps 1, 2 and 3 twice more to obtain three readings. Record the highest reading in your daily record chart.

How to Clean:

• Clean at least once every week by immersing the peak flow meter in warm (but not hot) mild detergent water solution for 2 to 3 minutes (max 5 minutes). Agitate the meter to ensure thorough cleaning. 
• Rinse in clean warm water and shake gently to remove any excess water and air dry completely before using again. Do not boil the meter for disinfecting.

• Read the label carefully before use.
• Store in a cool, dry and dark place.
• Keep away from direct sunlight. 
• Keep out of reach of children.
• For external use only.
• Coughing and spitting into the meter will adversely affect your reading and should be avoided.
• Using a peak flow meter to monitor respiratory conditions such as asthma should be under the care of a physician. A peak flow meter is intended for single-patient use unless it is cleaned thoroughly after each use and disposable mouthpieces are used. Mouthpieces are available.
• Do not change the position of the colour zone indicators yourself. If this should occur inadvertently, contact your doctor or specialist nurse for advice. Reading should be taken twice a day, first in the morning and at bedtime or directed by your physician. When you blow into your peak flow meter, the indicator will rise to your peak flow value. Your peak flow measurement will fall into one of three zones.
