• Povidone Iodine: It acts as an antiseptic with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity. It helps reduce bacteria, fungi and protozoa and may ensure thorough cleansing. The compound binds iodine to a polymer, which helps release it slowly to reduce irritation. Povidone Iodine is known for being less harsh compared to pure iodine. It may ensure a sustained antimicrobial effect and minimise side effects. The colour it leaves can easily be removed with soap and water, making it user-friendly.

• Manages Bacterial Vaginosis: Povidone Iodine helps in killing bacterial pathogens like Gardnerella vaginalis, which is a common cause of bacterial vaginosis. • Insert one POVID pessary in the morning and at night for up to 14 days, or as directed by the healthcare provider.  
• Should either end before the menstrual period or start after the menses. However, if menstruation occurs during medication it is advisable not to discontinue.

• Keep away from direct light and moisture. 
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Use under medical supervision.
• For vaginal use only.
• Do not use it in the eyes or use it on individuals who are allergic or sensitive to iodine.
• If swallowed, get medical help immediately. Discontinue use and ask a doctor.
• If condition persists or gets worse or If irritation, sensitization, or allergic reaction occurs and lasts for 72 hours. 
• Avoid using the pessary during menstruation as menstrual blood can interfere with the action of the medication.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medicine only under strict medical supervision.
• Do not use the pessary along with other vaginal products unless instructed by a doctor, as this could reduce its effectiveness or cause irritation.
