Setting Up Lancing Device:

• Remove the cap from the lancing device. Insert a new lancet firmly up to the bottom of the lancet holder.
• Twist and remove the protective cap of the lancet (keep the cap aside, do not throw it).
• Place the cap back onto the device. The cap must audibly click in its place.
• Adjust the depth required for pricking as per the thickness of the skin.
• Pull the plunger (on the end of the device) to load the device.

Monitoring Blood Glucose:

• Insert the strip into the metre strips slot with contact bars towards the metre and facing upwards.
• When the flashing blood drop symbol appears (in 2 seconds), the metre is ready to apply blood on the glucose test strip.
• Use your lancing device to obtain a blood drop. Hold it against the side of the fingers and press the release button to prick and obtain a blood sample.
• Apply blood drops to the sample at the end of the strip. The blood will be drawn into the sample area automatically. Do not remove the metre away from the sample until you hear a beep.
• The metre will start the countdown from 5 to 1 and your blood test result will be displayed.
• After getting the result, press the strip ejector button near a dustbin so that the strip gets released from the metre and falls into the dustbin.
• Push the lancet needle into the protective cap and discard the lancet from the lancing device.
• Apply a drop of blood to the test strip.
• The result will be displayed on the monitor.

• Keep the operating environment free of dust, vibrations, corrosive or flammable materials and extremes of temperature and humidity.
