• Press the power button to turn on the thermometer.
• Ensure that the thermometer is set to Body Mode (for body temperature) or Surface Mode (for measuring objects or room temperature). You can switch modes by pressing the mode button.
• Hold the thermometer 1 to 5 cm (0.4 to 2 inches) away from the forehead or the object you are measuring.
• Press the measurement button to start the reading. The thermometer will automatically detect the temperature.
• In just 1–2 seconds, the thermometer will display the temperature reading on the screen.
