Composition

Ranitidine (150 Mg)

Zintac 150 Tablet is used to treat and prevent conditions caused by excess stomach acid, including stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and heartburn.

It contains ranitidine, a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach, allowing ulcers and inflamed tissue to heal. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it for the full duration prescribed, even if your symptoms improve earlier, to allow complete healing.

Avoiding spicy and fatty foods, caffeine, alcohol, and large meals close to bedtime can help reduce acid reflux and support recovery alongside this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or are taking other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use. Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or return after stopping treatment.

Zintac 150 Tablet is used to manage conditions caused by excess stomach acid, helping relieve symptoms such as heartburn and indigestion, and supporting healing of the stomach and upper digestive tract.

Uses of Zintac 150 Tablet are:

Stomach and Duodenal Ulcers: Helps treat and prevent ulcers by reducing stomach acid production.
GERD and Heartburn: Relieves acid reflux and the burning sensation caused by stomach acid flowing back into the food pipe.
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Helps control excessive stomach acid production associated with this rare condition.

You should take Zintac 150 Tablet 20 in the following way:

Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet. Just swallow as it is with a whole glass of water.
Take the medication as directed at same time each day for better results.
It is a good idea to take it with some food. This can help your body absorb the medicine better.

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding mothers should not take this tablet. It passes to the infant through breast milk. Before taking this tablet while breastfeeding, it is recommended to consult your doctor.

Alcohol

Alcohol is not recommended while taking Zintac 150 Tablet 20. Alcohol can add to drowsiness and dizziness due to this tablet. It can also worsen the side effects of this tablet.

Liver

Kidney

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

Zintac 150 Tablet 20 may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and insomnia, affecting your ability to operate machinery or drive a vehicle. Therefore, avoiding any attentive task is recommended after taking this tablet.

Allergy

Do not take Zintac 150 Tablet 20 if you are allergic to ranitidine or any other ingredient in this tablet. To avoid allergic reactions, read the label and check the ingredients before taking this tablet.

Children

Zintac 150 Tablet 20 can be given to children over one month of age. If your infant is older than one month, consult your doctor for the dosage according to your infant’s age and weight before giving this tablet.

Antifungals such as ketoconazole. This tablet can reduce the absorption of antifungals in the body.
Anticancer medications such as gefitinib. This tablet can reduce the absorption of anticancer medications in the body.
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection medications such as delavirdine and atazanavir. The absorption of these medications may be impaired on the concomitant use of Zintac 150 Tablet 20.
Anticoagulants such as warfarin. The concomitant use of anticoagulants with this tablet can result in altered prothrombin time.
Antiarrhythmics such as procainamide. This tablet can result in increased blood concentration of this medicine.

Zintac 150 Tablet 20 can interact with certain medical conditions, including:

Porphyria (a rare blood disease): This tablet may trigger acute porphyric attacks in patients with acute porphyria.

Daily Dose

The daily dose of this tablet should be taken as your doctor prescribes. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as age, the condition's severity, and treatment response.

Over Dose

If you accidentally take more than the prescribed dose, you may experience dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, and stomach discomfort. If you notice such symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.
