ZEUCOR 5 MG TABLET 30 is used to treat high cholesterol (dyslipidaemia) by lowering harmful LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while raising protective HDL cholesterol. Improving your lipid profile helps prevent fatty plaque building up in the arteries (atherosclerosis), lowering the long-term risk of heart attack and stroke.

It contains rosuvastatin, a statin that blocks the liver enzyme responsible for making cholesterol. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food, and swallow it whole. Continue taking it even if your cholesterol levels appear normal, as stopping suddenly can allow cholesterol levels to rise again.

Following a diet low in saturated fat, staying physically active and maintaining a healthy weight support the cholesterol-lowering effect of this medicine.

Tell your doctor about any liver problems, kidney disease or history of muscle disorders before starting. Report any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine, straight away.
