Zerostres 0.25 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of advanced kidney cancer

• Managing advanced breast cancer

• Controlling pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours

• Managing certain types of lung cancer

• Preventing organ transplant rejection

• Treating tuberous sclerosis complex

• Managing subependymal giant-cell astrocytomas

• Suppressing an overactive immune response

• Inhibiting abnormal cell growth

• Preventing new blood vessel formation in tumours

Follow these instructions while taking Zerostres 0.25 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.

• If you have difficulty swallowing, consult your doctor for advice.

• Keep taking the medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

Zerostres 0.25 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Zerostres 0.25 MG Tablet 10 contains everolimus (0.25 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• mTORC1 inhibition: Everolimus blocks an enzyme called mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1), which plays a key role in cell growth and division.

• Cell cycle arrest: By inhibiting mTORC1, everolimus stops cells from progressing from one growth phase (G1) to another (S), effectively preventing cell multiplication.

• Reduced protein synthesis: Everolimus decreases protein production in cells, limiting their ability to grow and function normally.

• Decreased angiogenesis: The medicine reduces the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) by lowering the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which tumours need to grow.

• Immune response suppression: By inhibiting mTORC1 in immune cells, everolimus reduces their activity, helping prevent rejection of transplanted organs.
