• Immunosuppressants: Immunosuppressants like cyclosporine can inhibit the metabolism of rabeprazole, resulting in an increase in the level of rabeprazole in the blood.
• Antineoplastic medication: Rabeprazole may increase methotrexate levels if used concurrently, causing methotrexate toxicity.
• Cardiac glycosides: Using cardiac glycosides like digoxin and oleandrin may lead to increased digoxin levels in the body, causing symptoms like nausea and vomiting.

While there are no significant food interactions that affect the effectiveness of this medicine, avoid fatty and spicy foods, as they may trigger heartburn.

• Coagulation disorders: This medicine may increase INR and prothrombin time, thus impacting blood clotting ability. This could be unsafe for people who have coagulation disorders like haemophilia and Von Willebrand disease.
• Gastrointestinal infections: This tablet increases the risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea.

• Nutrient deficiency diseases: While it occurs rarely, extended use of this medicine can cause hypomagnesemia or low magnesium levels in the body.
