• Clavulanic acid (125 mg): This ingredient acts as an irreversible beta-lactamase inhibitor. Many bacteria produce beta-lactamase enzymes, which can inactivate antibiotics like cefixime. Clavulanic acid binds to these enzymes and inhibits them, preventing the breakdown of cefixime.
