Vorisure 200 Tablet 4 is an antifungal medicine used to treat serious and invasive fungal infections such as aspergillosis and candidaemia, particularly in people with a weakened immune system. It helps clear infections that have spread to internal organs.
It contains voriconazole, from a class of antifungal medicines called triazoles. Take the tablet exactly as prescribed, usually on an empty stomach. Continue the full course even if you feel better, as stopping early can allow the infection to return.
Protect your skin from strong sunlight with protective clothing and a high-factor sunscreen, as this medicine can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid excessive alcohol, as this can add strain to the liver during treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have liver problems, an irregular heart rhythm, or take other medicines, as several interact with voriconazole. Your doctor may arrange blood tests to monitor liver function and vision during treatment. Contact your doctor promptly if you notice blurred vision, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or difficulty breathing.
