Trivolib 1 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

• Improvement of blood sugar levels in adults with inadequate control by diet and exercise alone.

• Enhancement of glycaemic control in adults whose diabetes is not adequately controlled with single medication therapy.

• Reduction of cardiovascular risks associated with diabetes, especially beneficial for patients with pre-existing heart conditions.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush, or break it.

• Always follow the dose recommended by your doctor. Do not exceed this dose without consulting your doctor.

Trivolib 1 Tablet is taken orally.

Trivolib 1 Tablet works effectively due to the combined action of its three active components:

• Glimepiride (1 mg): This component belongs to a class of medicines called sulfonylureas. It works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin, which helps lower blood glucose levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces the production of glucose in the liver, decreases the absorption of glucose from the intestines, and improves the body's sensitivity to insulin. This enhances the uptake and use of glucose in the cells.

• Voglibose (0.2 mg): Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor. It acts by slowing down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates from your intestines. This action prevents a sudden spike in your blood sugar levels after meals by delaying glucose absorption into your bloodstream.

• Keep Trivolib 1 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.
