Tripride-2 Forte Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Anti-diabetic medicines: Taking Tripride-2 Forte with other anti-diabetic medications, such as insulin or gliclazide, may increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia).

• Alcohol: Consuming alcohol while on Tripride-2 Forte raises the risk of lactic acidosis, a potentially serious condition due to the metformin component.

• Cationic medicines: Medications like amiloride or cimetidine can reduce the kidney’s ability to clear metformin from your system, leading to increased metformin levels in your blood.

• Furosemide: This diuretic medicine can increase the levels of pioglitazone, one of Tripride-2 Forte's components, in your blood.

Certain foods can interact with Tripride-2 Forte Tablet:

• High-fat foods: These may increase the levels of pioglitazone in your body, potentially leading to more side effects.

Tripride-2 Forte Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Kidney Disease: If you have severe kidney problems, the use of this medication is not advised due to the metformin component.

• Liver Disease: Those with severe liver problems should avoid this medication as it could worsen their condition.

• Heart Failure: Pioglitazone in Tripride-2 Forte can cause fluid retention, which can worsen or lead to heart failure. If you have a history of heart failure, use this medication with caution.

• Bladder Cancer: Pioglitazone may be associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer. Avoid using this medication if you have active bladder cancer.

Your daily dose of Tripride-2 Forte Tablet will be personalised by your doctor. This will be based on your individual needs, like the severity of your condition and how well you respond to the medicine. Always stick to the dosage your doctor prescribes.
