Tricort Tablet is used to manage conditions linked to inflammation and an overactive immune system. It is a single-ingredient corticosteroid medicine containing triamcinolone.
It is used in arthritis, severe allergies, asthma and other breathing conditions, certain blood disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. Take it, usually with food, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as the dose often needs to be reduced gradually.
Eat a diet with enough calcium and vitamin D (milk, curd, paneer), limit added salt and monitor blood sugar if advised.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have any infection, diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers or bone thinning and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report signs of infection, mood changes or stomach pain, as this medicine can lower resistance to infection and irritate the stomach. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
