Thaldo Capsule 10

Thaldo Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of multiple myeloma

• Managing erythema nodosum leprosum

• Relief of lepra reactions

• Controlling inflammatory complications of leprosy

• Reducing symptoms in severe skin conditions

• Suppression of excessive immune responses

• Preventing formation of new blood vessels in tumours

• Modifying immune system activity in specific diseases

Follow these instructions while taking Thaldo Capsule 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time every day.

• Keep taking the medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• Do not open, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Store the medicine in its original packaging until it's time to take it.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about how to use this medicine.

Thaldo Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Thaldo Capsule 10 contains thalidomide (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Immune System Modulation: Thalidomide regulates the immune system response by affecting certain cells and proteins involved in inflammation and immune reactions.

• Tumour Cell Attack: It directly targets and damages cancer cells, particularly in multiple myeloma, helping to slow or stop their growth.

• Anti-angiogenesis: Thalidomide prevents the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) that tumours need to grow, effectively cutting off their blood supply.

• Immune Stimulation: It enhances the activity of specific immune cells called T-cells and natural killer cells, which helps your body fight against cancer cells more effectively.

• Store Thaldo Capsule 10 at temperatures below 25°C.

• Keep away from direct light and moisture.

• Keep the capsules in their original packaging until you need to take them.

• Do not store in bathrooms where humidity levels are high.

• Keep the medication out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Check the expiry date before taking and do not use expired medicine.

• If you have multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer affecting plasma cells), try to include plenty of protein-rich foods like lentils, yoghurt, and lean meats to help maintain muscle strength during your treatment.

• For patients with lepra reactions (inflammatory complications of leprosy), avoid spicy and hot foods that might worsen skin inflammation and discomfort.
