Terakare 2 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia

• Improving urine flow in men

• Relieving difficulty in urination

• Managing a weak urine stream

• Reducing frequent urination in men

• Decreasing incomplete bladder emptying

• Improving symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland

• Relaxing blood vessel walls

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take it regularly at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• If you feel dizzy when standing up, sit or lie down until you feel better.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Terakare 2 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Terakare 2 MG Tablet 10 contains terazosin (2 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 Receptor Blockade: Terazosin selectively blocks alpha-1 adrenergic receptors in blood vessel walls and the prostate gland, causing smooth muscle relaxation in these areas.

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: By blocking alpha-1 receptors in blood vessels, terazosin causes vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), which reduces peripheral vascular resistance and lowers blood pressure.

• Prostate Muscle Relaxation: In the prostate gland, terazosin relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

• Store Terakare 2 MG Tablet 10 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep at room temperature (below 25°C).

• Protect from moisture and excessive heat.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use it after the expiration date printed on the package.

• Keep in the original packaging until it is time to take it.

• Reduce salt intake in your diet as high sodium levels can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension), which Terakare 2 MG Tablet 10 manages.

• Limit alcohol consumption as it can interfere with the blood pressure-lowering effects of terazosin and may increase the risk of dizziness or fainting.
