Tagamox Tm Eye Drop 5 ML

Tagamox Tm Eye Drop 5 ML is used for:

• Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis
• Management of corneal ulcers caused by susceptible bacteria
• Prevention of bacterial eye infections following ocular surgery or trauma

• Wash hands thoroughly before application.
• Tilt the head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket.
• Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, eyelids, or any surface.
• Close the eye gently and apply light pressure to the inner corner of the eye for 1–2 minutes.
• If using other ophthalmic products, maintain an interval of at least 5–10 minutes between applications.
• Do not wear contact lenses during an active eye infection unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

Tagamox Tm Eye Drop 5 ML contains the following active components:

• Moxifloxacin (0.5%): Moxifloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, which are essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair. This action prevents bacterial multiplication and leads to bacterial cell death.
• Tobramycin (0.3%): Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria. This disrupts protein synthesis, damages the bacterial cell membrane, and ultimately causes bacterial death.

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Protect from light.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Discard as advised after opening.

• Maintain good eye hygiene to prevent reinfection.
• Avoid touching or rubbing the eyes during infection.
• Do not share towels, pillows, or eye cosmetics.
• Avoid contact lens use until the infection resolves completely.
• Protect eyes from dust, smoke, and environmental irritants.
