Subizap Sb 130mg Capsule 10 is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungal infections of the skin, nails, mouth, throat and lungs. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing itraconazole, and belongs to a class of medicines called triazole antifungals.
This medicine works by stopping the growth of fungi, which clears the infection. It is used for skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot and groin infections, fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails (onychomycosis), and Candida infections of the mouth, throat or vagina. It is also used for some deeper fungal infections, and it is often prescribed for people with weakened immune systems. Use the dose and duration your doctor prescribes.
Keeping the affected skin clean and dry, wearing loose, breathable clothing and not sharing towels can help stop the infection spreading or returning. Nail infections take time to clear, so continue for the full course.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart problems, liver problems or a weakened immune system, or if you take other medicines, as itraconazole interacts with many of them. Also tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek urgent medical help if you develop swelling of the ankles, breathlessness, dark urine or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
