Seroflo Junior Inhaler 120mdi is used for the following in children:

• Management of asthma symptoms

• Management of wheezing and chest tightness

• Long-term control of respiratory conditions

Follow these instructions while giving Seroflo Junior Inhaler 120mdi to your child:

• Shake the inhaler well before each use.

• Ask your child to exhale fully before placing the mouthpiece in their mouth.

• Press down on the canister while your child takes a deep breath in.

• Help your child hold their breath for about 10 seconds, then let them exhale slowly.

• Wait for about 30 seconds before giving the second puff if required.

• Make sure your child rinses their mouth with water after use to prevent oral thrush.

• Clean the plastic casing regularly according to the product instructions.

• Keep track of how many doses remain in your child’s inhaler.

Seroflo Junior Inhaler 120mdi Inhaler contains two active ingredients that work together to improve breathing:

• Fluticasone propionate (50 mcg): This is a corticosteroid that works in the lungs to reduce inflammation. It binds to special receptors called glucocorticoid receptors and stops the release of substances that cause swelling and irritation in the airways.

• Salmeterol (25 mcg): This is a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in your airways. It stimulates specific receptors called beta-2 receptors in your lungs, which helps widen the airways and allows air to flow more easily into and out of the lungs.

• Store your Seroflo Junior Inhaler 120mdi at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Never puncture, break or burn the canister, even when empty.

• Store all medicines out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date and do not use after this date has passed.

• Keep track of things that worsen your child’s breathing problems, such as dust, pollen, pet dander, or certain foods, and try to minimise your child’s exposure to these triggers.

• Regular, moderate physical activity helps strengthen your child’s lungs and improve overall breathing capacity, but always ensure they warm up properly before any activity. Speak to your doctor about the right level of exercise for your child.
