Septran Tablet is primarily used to manage severe lung infections such as Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PCP) and toxoplasmosis in children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years. It is a combination medicine that falls under the class of antibiotics.
This tablet can also be given to manage other bacterial infections in children. These include urinary tract infections (UTIs), respiratory tract infections (RTIs), ear infections like otitis media, and a bacterial infection known as nocardiosis.
