Salbuvac Syrup is used to help manage and prevent breathing difficulties caused by asthma and COPD in adults and children. It helps keep the airways open by relaxing the muscles around them, easing wheezing, coughing and shortness of breath.
It contains salbutamol, an oral bronchodilator. Give or take it exactly as prescribed based on age and weight. It takes about 30 minutes to begin working and is not suitable for sudden, severe breathing attacks, for which a rescue inhaler should always be kept to hand.
Quitting smoking, avoiding known triggers and following any breathing exercises or pulmonary rehabilitation advice support your breathing alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any heart problems, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid or diabetes before starting, and about other medicines taken. Report a fast or very irregular heartbeat, marked tremor, or worsening of breathing.
