Safexim 100 Tablet 10

Safexim 100 Tablet 10 is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including infections in the lungs, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues.

Uses of Safexim 100 Tablet 10 are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats pneumonia, tonsillitis and bronchitis.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Treats susceptible bacterial UTIs.
• Ear and Dental Infections: Treats otitis media and dental infections.
• Gonorrhoea and Typhoid Fever: Treats these bacterial infections.

• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• If you have difficulty swallowing the whole tablet, disperse it in water before taking it.
• Do not take more than the dosage your doctor has recommended.

Safexim 100 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Safexim 100 Tablet 10 contains Cefixime (100 mg), which works in the body in the following ways:

• Inhibition of cell wall synthesis: Cefixime stops the formation of bacterial cell walls by binding to and deactivating penicillin-binding proteins - enzymes that help make a major component of the bacterial cell wall known as peptidoglycan.
• Bacterial cell death: By disrupting cell wall synthesis, cefixime causes bacterial cells to break apart and die off.
• Resistance to beta-lactamase enzymes: Cefixime is very stable even when faced with beta-lactamase enzymes produced by many bacteria. These enzymes can destroy other antibiotics like penicillin but don't affect cefixime.

• Keep Safexim 100 Tablet 10 at room temperature below 30°C.
• Protect it from light and moisture; store it in a dry place.
• Make sure the medication is out of reach of children.
• Always check the expiry date before taking this medicine.

• If you're managing respiratory tract infections with Safexim 100 Tablet 10, avoid exposure to smoke and dust. Breathing clean air can help your lungs heal.
• For urinary tract infections, increase your water intake. This helps flush out bacteria from your system.
