Rofucop Tablet 10

Rofucop Tablet 10 is used for the long-term management of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic bronchitis. It helps reduce the frequency of COPD flare-ups, prevent exacerbations, and control airway inflammation. Additionally, it supports bronchodilator therapy, improves airflow in obstructed airways, and reduces symptoms such as coughing and chest tightness in COPD patients.

Follow these instructions while taking Rofucop Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine with or without food.

• Continue taking the medicine even if you feel well.

• Consult your doctor if you have questions about using this medicine.

Rofucop Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Rofucop Tablet 10 contains Roflumilast (0.5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• PDE4 inhibition: Roflumilast selectively blocks an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4), which normally breaks down a substance called cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in your lungs.

• Increased cAMP levels: By preventing the breakdown of cAMP, roflumilast increases the concentration of this substance in lung tissues, which helps control inflammation.

• Airway muscle relaxation: The increased cAMP levels help relax the muscles around your airways, making it easier to breathe.

• Reduced inflammation: This medicine decreases inflammation in the lungs, which is a key factor in COPD symptoms and flare-ups.

Rofucop Tablet 10 must be stored as instructed below to maintain its efficacy:

• Store the medication at temperatures below 30°C.

• Protect the tablets from heat and moisture.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until use.

• Store all medicines out of reach of children.

• Do not use the tablet after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Quit smoking completely, as smoking worsens chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) symptoms and reduces the effectiveness of your medicine.

• Stay physically active with gentle exercises like walking or swimming to improve lung function and breathing capacity, but always start slowly and build up gradually.
