CompositionRegaine 5% Solution is primarily used to regrow hair on the top of the scalp. It belongs to the group of medications called vasodilators.
This solution is also used to prevent further hair loss. Do not use this solution if you have no family history of hair loss, your hair loss is sudden and/or patchy, or you do not know the reason for your hair loss. This solution will not prevent or improve hair loss, which may occur with the use of some prescription and non-prescription medications, severe nutritional problems (very low body iron; excessive vitamin A intake), low thyroid states (hypothyroidism), and chemotherapy, or diseases which cause scarring of the scalp.
This solution is intended for scalp application only. Some side effects may be noted with the topical application of this solution, which should be timely informed to a doctor. Any allergy to this solution should also be brought to the notice of your doctor before this solution is prescribed to you.
