Rdl C 5 Capsule 10

Rdl C 5 Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of heart attack and stroke

• Management of acute coronary syndrome

• Lowering high cholesterol and triglyceride levels

• Increasing good cholesterol (HDL) levels

• Managing primary hyperlipidaemia

• Treatment of mixed dyslipidaemia

• Managing homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia

• Prevention of cardiovascular death in high-risk patients

• Management of peripheral arterial disease

• Reducing apolipoprotein B and non-HDL cholesterol levels

Follow these instructions while taking Rdl C 5 Capsule 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Take it at any time of day, with or without food.

• Do not crush, chew or open the capsule.

• Continue taking the medicine regularly for as long as your doctor has advised.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• If you have any concerns about how to take this medicine, ask your doctor for advice.

Rdl C 5 Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Rdl C 5 Capsule 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (5 mg): This component belongs to the statin family and works by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in the liver. This enzyme is essential for producing cholesterol in your body. By inhibiting this enzyme, rosuvastatin effectively reduces the production of cholesterol, particularly LDL ("bad") cholesterol and triglycerides, while helping to increase HDL ("good") cholesterol.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): This component works as an antiplatelet medicine by preventing platelets (tiny blood cells) from sticking together and forming blood clots that can cause heart attacks and strokes. It irreversibly blocks a specific receptor called P2Y12 on the platelet surface.

Follow these instructions while storing Rdl C 5 Capsule 10:

• Store Rdl C 5 Capsule 10 in a cool, dry place at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C).

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Always keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and do not take the medicine after this date.

• Heart-healthy diet: Choose foods low in saturated fats and cholesterol. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and oily fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids to help manage cholesterol levels.

• Regular exercise: Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity most days of the week to strengthen your heart and improve circulation, which helps reduce cardiovascular risks.
