CompositionRabecid 20 Tablet is used to treat heartburn, acid reflux (GERD), and stomach ulcers. It is also used to help prevent ulcers in people taking medicines that can irritate the stomach. By reducing stomach acid, it allows the lining of the food pipe and stomach to heal and helps prevent further damage.
It contains rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor. It is best taken on an empty stomach, before a meal, and swallowed whole without crushing or chewing. Take it as prescribed, and check with your doctor before taking it for a long time, as it can affect how well you absorb certain vitamins and minerals.
Alongside this medicine, eating smaller and more regular meals, avoiding spicy, fatty, or very acidic foods, not lying down soon after eating, and limiting alcohol, caffeine, and smoking can help reduce acidity.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver problems or are taking other medicines. Report any severe or persistent loose motions, muscle cramps, or unusual tiredness, which can be linked with low magnesium on long-term use.
