Pyrobact 1 GM Tablet 10 is used for managing:

• Upper respiratory tract infections like pneumonia

• Lower respiratory tract infections like bronchitis

• Genitourinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections like cellulitis and impetigo

• Dental infections including periodontitis and dental abscesses

• Bone and joint infections like osteomyelitis and septic arthritis

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine for the full duration prescribed by your doctor, even if your symptoms get better after a few days.

Pyrobact 1 GM Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Pyrobact 1 GM Tablet 10 contains two active components:

• Amoxicillin (875 mg): As a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic, amoxicillin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It does so by binding to and deactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) found on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall, thus blocking cell wall biosynthesis and leading to cell lysis and death.

• Potassium clavulanate (125 mg): This component acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It binds irreversibly to bacterial beta-lactamases - enzymes that inactivate penicillins and cephalosporins. By doing this, potassium clavulanate prevents these beta-lactamases from breaking down amoxicillin, thus restoring its activity against bacteria that would otherwise be resistant.

• Ensure you store Pyrobact 1 GM Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Store the tablets in a dry area shielded from direct sunlight and heat.
