Primax 7.5 MG Tablet 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Potentially haemolytic medicines (e.g., dapsone, sulfonamides): Concurrent use may increase the risk of haemolytic anaemia, especially in patients with G6PD deficiency. Doctors may advise avoiding the combined use or monitoring blood counts during treatment.
• Bone marrow-suppressing medicines (e.g., chloramphenicol, chemotherapy medicines): Combined use may increase the risk of low blood cell counts, anaemia, or leukopenia in susceptible individuals. Monitoring may be required during treatment.
• Quinacrine: Concurrent use or recent use of quinacrine may increase primaquine toxicity and increase the risk of side effects or blood-related complications. Doctors generally avoid combined use.

Primax 7.5 MG Tablet 10 should be used with caution if you have:

• G6PD deficiency: Primaquine may cause moderate to severe haemolytic anaemia in individuals with G6PD deficiency due to destruction of red blood cells. Doctors usually recommend G6PD testing before treatment and may avoid use in affected individuals.
• History of favism: Patients with a history of favism may have an increased risk of haemolytic reactions during treatment. Careful monitoring may be required.

Overdose of Primax 7.5 MG Tablet 10 may increase the risk of severe abdominal pain, vomiting, methemoglobinemia, haemolytic anaemia, breathing difficulty, bluish discolouration of the lips or skin (cyanosis), dizziness, or blood-related complications. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

If you miss a dose of Primax 7.5 MG Tablet 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take extra doses to compensate for the missed dose.
