PPG R 0.5 TABLET 15 is used for the following:

• Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Management of post-meal high blood sugar

• Control of blood glucose when diet alone isn't enough

• Complementary therapy with diet and exercise

• Alternative when other diabetes medicines aren't effective

Follow these instructions while taking PPG R 0.5 TABLET 15:

• Take this tablet just before your main meals.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Take the medicine regularly at the same times each day.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about this medicine.

PPG R 0.5 TABLET 15 contains two active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:

• Repaglinide (0.5 mg): This component stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, especially after meals. It targets special cells in the pancreas called beta cells, encouraging them to produce insulin when blood sugar rises, helping transport glucose from your bloodstream into your cells.

• Voglibose (0.3 mg): This works in your intestines by blocking enzymes called alpha-glucosidases. These enzymes normally break down complex carbohydrates into simple sugars. By inhibiting these enzymes, voglibose slows down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, preventing sudden spikes in blood glucose after eating.

• Store PPG R 0.5 TABLET 15 at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep away from direct heat, light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until it is time to take the medicine.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.
