Pomarow 2 Capsule 21

POMAROW 2 CAPSULE 21 is used to treat multiple myeloma, usually with other medicines.

Uses of Pomide 2 Capsule are:

• Multiple Myeloma: Treats cancer affecting the plasma cells in the bone marrow.
• Relapsed or Resistant Disease: Used when myeloma has returned or not responded to earlier treatment.
• Combination Therapy: Used together with other medicines such as dexamethasone.

Follow these instructions while taking POMAROW 2 CAPSULE 21:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Never open, break, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Continue taking the medicine as prescribed, even if you feel better.

• Maintain adequate hydration while on this medicine.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

POMAROW 2 CAPSULE 21 is taken orally.

POMAROW 2 CAPSULE 21 contains pomalidomide (2 mg), which works in the following ways:

• Stimulates the immune system: Pomalidomide activates specific immune cells called T cells and natural killer cells, enhancing the body's ability to identify and destroy abnormal plasma cells.

• Inhibits cancer cell growth: This medicine directly interferes with the growth and multiplication of cancer cells, helping to slow down the progression of multiple myeloma.

• Modifies the tumour microenvironment: Pomalidomide alters the environment surrounding cancer cells, reducing the supportive structures that these cells need to survive and grow.

• Suppresses blood vessel formation: The medicine may help prevent the formation of new blood vessels that would otherwise supply nutrients to cancer cells, effectively starving the tumour.

• Store POMAROW 2 CAPSULE 21 at room temperature.

• Keep in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Maintain the medicine in its original packaging until use.

• Store away from humid environments like bathrooms.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Maintain adequate hydration throughout your treatment, especially if you experience side effects such as diarrhoea or fever, as this helps support your body during multiple myeloma therapy.

• Consider using protective clothing and high-SPF sunscreen when outdoors, as pomalidomide can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight (photosensitivity).
