POLYCAP CAPSULE 15 may interact with other medicines, such as:

• Antihypertensive medicines (e.g., amlodipine, losartan, enalapril, metoprolol): Taking additional blood pressure medicines along with this combination may lower blood pressure excessively, leading to dizziness, weakness, or fainting. Blood pressure monitoring and dose adjustments may be required.
• Antidiabetic medicines (e.g., insulin, metformin, glimepiride): Atenolol and hydrochlorothiazide may affect blood sugar control and mask symptoms of low blood sugar. Regular blood glucose monitoring may be necessary when both medicines are used together.
• Antitubercular medicines (e.g., rifampicin): Rifampicin may reduce the blood levels and effectiveness of some components, particularly simvastatin, reducing cholesterol control. Doctors may adjust therapy if both are prescribed.
• Antiepileptic medicines (e.g., phenytoin, carbamazepine, valproate): Some antiepileptic medicines may alter liver enzyme activity and affect statin metabolism, potentially reducing cholesterol control or increasing side effects. Monitoring may be required.

• Diabetes: Hydrochlorothiazide and beta-blockers like atenolol may affect blood sugar control and mask symptoms of low blood sugar. Regular monitoring may be required.
• Electrolyte imbalance: Hydrochlorothiazide may reduce potassium or sodium levels, which can worsen existing electrolyte disturbances and require monitoring.
• Asthma sensitive to aspirin or NSAIDs: Aspirin may trigger bronchospasm or worsen breathing difficulties in people with aspirin-sensitive asthma. Medical advice is required before use.

The daily dose of POLYCAP CAPSULE 15 should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on individual factors, such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, heart health, and response to treatment. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one. Do not take double doses to make up for a missed capsule, as this can increase the risk of side effects.
