Pimapexole 0.5 Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as tremors, stiffness and slow movement, and the uncomfortable sensations of restless legs syndrome (RLS) in adults.

Uses of Pimapexole 0.5 Tablet are:

• Parkinson's Disease: Helps manage tremors, stiffness and slowness of movement.
• Restless Legs Syndrome: Helps relieve the uncomfortable sensations of RLS.
• Parkinson's Symptom Control: Helps improve movement and reduce disability associated with Parkinson's disease.

• Swallow the tablet as a whole, using a glass of water.
• Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food.
• You should not stop taking this medicine abruptly. Always consult your doctor before deciding to discontinue.

Pimapexole 0.5 Tablet is taken orally. 

Pimapexole 0.5 Tablet contains the following component:

• Pramipexole (0.5 mg): Pramipexole is a dopamine receptor agonist. It works by selectively activating dopamine D2 receptors, particularly the D3 subtype, in the brain's caudate-putamen region. This mimics the action of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is deficient in Parkinson's disease, improving muscle control and reducing abnormal movements.

The storage instructions for Pimapexole 0.5 Tablet are as follows:

• Pimapexole 0.5 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Practise good sleep hygiene. This includes maintaining regular sleep and wake times, keeping the bedroom dark and quiet, avoiding caffeine and alcohol close to bedtime, and engaging in relaxing activities before bed.
• Regular mental exercises, such as puzzles, reading, and memory games, can help improve cognitive function in Parkinson's disease patients.
