Perfocyn Ear Drops 10ml is used to:

• Treat bacterial infections of the outer ear canal
• Reduce ear canal inflammation and swelling
• Relieve ear pain and irritation
• Help reduce discharge and discomfort associated with infection

Follow these instructions while using Perfocyn Ear Drops 10ml:

• Use the drops exactly as advised by your doctor.
• Wash your hands before and after application.
• Clean and gently dry the outer ear before use.
• Tilt the head or lie down with the affected ear facing upward.
• Instil the prescribed drops into the ear canal.
• Keep the head tilted for a few minutes to allow the medicine to spread properly.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the ear or any surface to prevent contamination.

Perfocyn Ear Drops 10ml is instilled into the ear canal.

Perfocyn Ear Drops 10ml contains the following components:

• Acetic acid (2%): This component helps maintain an acidic environment in the ear canal, making it difficult for bacteria and fungi to grow. By limiting microbial growth, it helps control infection, reduce discharge, and support healing of the inflamed ear canal.
• Benzocaine (3%): This is a local anaesthetic that temporarily blocks pain signals from nerves in the ear canal. It helps relieve pain, burning, and irritation associated with infection, making the ear feel more comfortable during treatment.
• Chloramphenicol (5%): This is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works by preventing bacteria from producing essential proteins required for their survival and multiplication. By eliminating infection-causing bacteria, it helps reduce swelling, discharge, and discomfort while allowing the ear canal to recover.
• Prednisolone (0.5%): This corticosteroid reduces inflammation by decreasing swelling, redness, and irritation inside the ear canal. By controlling inflammation, it helps relieve itching and discomfort and supports faster healing of infected tissues.
