Palbinas 100 Capsule 21 is used for the following:

• Treatment of advanced hormone receptor-positive breast cancer

• Prevention of tumour progression in breast cancer

Follow these instructions while taking Palbinas 100 Capsule 21:

• Take this capsule with food at approximately the same time each day.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not open, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor.

Palbinas 100 Capsule 21 is taken orally.

Palbinas 100 Capsule 21 contains palbociclib (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• CDK4/6 inhibition: Palbociclib blocks specific enzymes called cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) that play crucial roles in cell division and growth.

• Cell cycle arrest: By inhibiting CDK4/6, this medicine prevents cancer cells from progressing from one phase of the cell cycle (G1 phase) to the next phase (S phase), essentially stopping them from multiplying.

• Selective action: Palbociclib primarily targets the uncontrolled cell division of cancer cells while having minimal impact on normal cells that don't rely heavily on these pathways.

• Tumour growth prevention: By putting cancer cells into a state of arrest, palbociclib prevents their proliferation, which may lead to tumour shrinkage or stabilisation.

• Store Palbinas 100 Capsule 21 at room temperature below 30°C.
