CompositionOxydex Syrup 60ml is a bronchodilator and mucus-clearing syrup used to manage bronchospasm and breathing difficulty linked to bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other obstructive airway conditions with excess mucus. It is a combination medicine containing acebrophylline (which eases airway narrowing and thins mucus), terbutaline (which relaxes the airway muscles) and menthol (which gives a cooling, soothing sensation), and belongs to a class of medicines called bronchodilators and mucoregulators.
This medicine works by relaxing the muscles around the airways so that air flows more easily, and by making mucus thinner and easier to clear, which helps relieve wheezing, chest tightness and shortness of breath. It may also be prescribed for a productive cough linked with obstructive airway conditions and excess secretions. Use the dose and duration your doctor prescribes, and do not take more than prescribed.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), seizures, low potassium levels, or liver or kidney problems. Seek medical attention if you develop chest pain, a severe or irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness or worsening breathing difficulty.
