Ostomeg Ib 150mg Tablet 1 is used for the following:

• Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

• Prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

• Increasing bone mineral density

• Reducing risk of spine fractures

• Managing bone weakness and fragility

• Treatment of hypercalcaemia caused by cancer

• Preventing bone complications in cancer patients

• Strengthening bones affected by certain diseases

• Restoring balance between bone breakdown and formation

Follow these instructions while taking Ostomeg Ib 150mg Tablet 1:

• Take the tablet with a full glass of plain water (180-240 ml).

• Swallow the tablet whole without chewing, crushing, or dissolving it.

• Take this medicine at least 60 minutes before eating any food or drinking anything other than water.

• Remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 60 minutes after taking the tablet.

• Take this medicine on the same date each month for best results.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your treatment.

• Bone mineral density improvement: Through its action on bone cells, ibandronic acid helps restore the balance between bone breakdown and formation, leading to increased bone mineral density over time.

• Fracture risk reduction: By strengthening bones and improving their mineral content, particularly in the spine, this medicine helps lower the risk of bone fractures in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.

• Incorporate weight-bearing exercises like walking, dancing or gentle resistance training at least 3 times weekly to help strengthen bones and reduce fracture risk.
