Nurestat Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of diabetic neuropathy

• Relief of numbness in feet and legs

• Treatment of tingling sensations from nerve damage

• Prevention of diabetic nerve damage progression

• Improvement of temperature sensitivity in extremities

• Prevention of sorbitol accumulation in nerves

Follow these guidelines on how to use Nurestat Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• If you have liver or kidney problems, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Nurestat Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Nurestat Tablet 10 contains epalrestat (50 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Aldose Reductase Inhibition: Epalrestat blocks an enzyme called aldose reductase, which normally converts glucose into sorbitol in the body.

• Sorbitol Reduction: By inhibiting aldose reductase, this medicine prevents excessive accumulation of sorbitol in nerves and tissues, which would otherwise contribute to nerve damage.

• Nerve Protection: Through blocking the glucose-to-sorbitol conversion pathway, epalrestat helps protect nerves from damage caused by high blood sugar levels.

• Symptom Management: This medicine's action helps reduce the progression of nerve damage, thereby managing the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy.

Nurestat Tablet 10 must be stored as instructed below to maintain its efficacy:

• Store the medicine in a cool, dark, and dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep at room temperature, below 30°C.

• Protect from moisture and heat.

• Store out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Keep the tablets in their original packaging until ready to use.

• Include foods rich in vitamins B and D in your diet (such as eggs, fatty fish and leafy greens) to support nerve health and help manage diabetic neuropathy symptoms.
