NOVELTREAT 2.4MG COMBIPACK PREFILLED PEN 2 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antidiabetic medicines (e.g., insulin, glimepiride, gliclazide): Taking these medicines together may increase the risk of low blood sugar. Your doctor may adjust the dose and recommend regular blood glucose monitoring.
• Other GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g., liraglutide, dulaglutide, exenatide): Concurrent use is generally not recommended because it may increase gastrointestinal side effects without providing additional therapeutic benefit. Your doctor will usually prescribe only one GLP-1 receptor agonist at a time.
• Warfarin and other coumarin anticoagulants: More frequent INR monitoring may be required when treatment with semaglutide is started.
• Oral medicines: This medicine may slow stomach emptying, which can delay the absorption of some medicines taken by mouth. Inform your doctor about all oral medicines you are taking, especially those that require close monitoring.

NOVELTREAT 2.4MG COMBIPACK PREFILLED PEN 2 may interact with diseases, including:

• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Patients receiving insulin or sulfonylureas may have an increased risk of hypoglycaemia when semaglutide is added to treatment. Your doctor may adjust the doses of these medicines and recommend regular blood glucose monitoring.
• Pancreatitis: Patients with a history of pancreatitis should use this medicine cautiously, as acute pancreatitis has been reported in patients receiving GLP-1 receptor agonists. Stop using the medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you develop severe, persistent abdominal pain that may radiate to the back.
• Gallbladder Disease: Semaglutide may increase the risk of gallstones or gallbladder inflammation, particularly during rapid weight loss. Inform your doctor if you develop severe upper abdominal pain, fever, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
• Kidney Disease: Severe vomiting, diarrhoea, or dehydration may worsen kidney function, especially in patients with pre-existing kidney disease. Your doctor may monitor kidney function during treatment.
• Diabetic Retinopathy: Rapid improvement in blood glucose control may temporarily worsen diabetic retinopathy in some patients with type 2 diabetes. Regular eye examinations may be recommended if you have a history of diabetic eye disease.
• Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome Type 2 (MEN 2) or Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC): This medicine should not be used in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or in those with MEN 2 because of a potential risk of thyroid C-cell tumours observed in animal studies.

Use NOVELTREAT 2.4MG COMBIPACK PREFILLED PEN 2 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose is increased gradually according to the schedule prescribed by your doctor to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Do not increase the dose or change the dosing schedule without consulting your doctor.

Using more than the prescribed dose may cause severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or low blood sugar when used with other antidiabetic medicines. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

If you miss a dose and the next scheduled dose is more than 48 hours away, administer the missed dose as soon as possible. If less than 48 hours remain before the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular weekly schedule. Do not administer two doses within 48 hours.
