Nizonide Suspension is used to treat parasitic gut infections.

Uses of Nizonide Suspension are:

• Parasitic Diarrhoea: Treats diarrhoea caused by Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

• Shake the bottle well before use.

Nizonide Suspension is given orally.

Nizonide Suspension contains an active ingredient called nitazoxanide (100 mg) that acts in the following ways:

• It works by interfering with the energy metabolism of parasites and anaerobic bacteria, inhibiting their growth and replication. It is effective against a broad range of intestinal protozoa, helminths, and some anaerobic bacteria. This mechanism helps in treating infections like diarrhoea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia.

2. Protect the product from direct sunlight and moisture.
3. Keep it out of the reach and sight of children.
4. Use the medicine before the expiration date mentioned on the packaging.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration during diarrhoea episodes.
• Offer them easily digestible foods like rice, bananas, boiled potatoes, and yoghurt.
• Avoid spicy, oily, or greasy foods that can worsen diarrhoea.
• Maintain good hygiene practices by washing hands thoroughly before meals and after using the toilet.
• Ensure your child gets enough rest to aid in recovery from infections.
• If symptoms persist or worsen despite using Nizonide Suspension, consult a doctor for further evaluation.

1. Take Nizonide Suspension as prescribed by your doctor.
2. Administer the medication after food to prevent stomach upset.
3. Give the medication twice a day, following the recommended dosage.
4. If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of taking a dose, repeat the same dose.
5. Do not double the dose if it is time for the next scheduled dose.
