Namcold FX Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold, flu and nasal allergies, such as fever, headache, a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. It is a combination medicine containing fexofenadine (an antihistamine), paracetamol (a pain reliever and fever reducer) and phenylephrine (a nasal decongestant).
This medicine is also used to ease symptoms of hay fever and upper respiratory allergies, such as an itchy nose and throat. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid taking it with fruit juices, which can reduce how well fexofenadine works.
Steam inhalation, warm fluids, enough rest and a well-ventilated room can help ease congestion and support recovery.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take. Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time, as too much can harm the liver. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if you have palpitations or a high fever that does not settle. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
