Mahagesic Gel is a topical analgesic used to relieve muscle and joint pain, including strains, sprains, and stiffness. It contains ingredients that penetrate the skin to provide a cooling effect, reduce inflammation, and alleviate pain directly at the site of discomfort. It’s commonly used for pain management in conditions like arthritis and muscle injuries.

• Diclofenac Diethylamine (1.16%): This non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which produce prostaglandins—chemicals that trigger pain and inflammation in the body. It helps reduce inflammation and alleviate pain at the affected site.
   
• Linseed Oil (3%): Rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid, linseed oil helps support a reduction in inflammation at the application site. It has soothing properties and contributes to the gel's effectiveness in managing pain.
   
• Methyl Salicylate (10%): Similar to Diclofenac, methyl salicylate is also an anti-inflammatory agent. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, providing relief from pain and swelling. Additionally, it has mild counter-irritant properties that can help soothe the skin.
   
• Menthol (5%): Menthol is known for its cooling sensation, which helps mask pain signals. It has local anaesthetic properties, providing a soothing effect to the applied area and it also promotes vasodilation, which may help support improved circulation in the concerned area.
   
• Other Ingredients: Benzyl Alcohol and Gel base. 

• Muscular Aches, Sprains and Strains: This gel may help promote relief from pain and discomfort caused by strained or overworked muscles. It works by targeting inflammation and soothing affected muscles, supporting quicker recovery from muscle injuries.

• Apply 3-4 times a day, gently rub on the affected area or as directed by the physician.

• The ideal temperature for storage is 25 degrees centigrade.

• Keep the tube tightly closed after use. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth & other mucous membranes.
