Lympedim Tablet is used to manage lymphoedema, chronic venous insufficiency, and tissue swelling caused by sprains, fractures, bruises, and post-surgical recovery. It supports lymphatic drainage and reduces the accumulation of protein-rich fluid in the affected tissues, relieving heaviness and discomfort in swollen limbs.
It contains coumarin 200mg, a benzopyrone compound that is believed to stimulate macrophage activity, supporting the body's natural lymphatic drainage. This helps reduce protein accumulation in swollen tissue and lowers the inflammatory response, improving tissue health in the affected area.
Take the tablet as directed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach discomfort. Inform your doctor promptly if you notice symptoms such as nausea, unusual tiredness, or skin rash during treatment, as these may occasionally indicate liver-related effects.
Nausea, abdominal discomfort, and mild diarrhoea are the most commonly reported effects and are usually mild. Tell your doctor about any liver conditions before starting, as rare cases of liver-related effects have been reported with coumarin-based medicines.
