Letrosafe Tablet 5

Letrosafe Tablet 5 is used for the following:

• Management of breast cancer in postmenopausal women
• Treatment of advanced breast cancer where the tumours have spread to other parts of the body
• Managing infertility due to anovulation in women by stimulating hormone release for normal egg development and ovulation

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
• It's essential not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Letrosafe Tablet 5 is taken orally.

Letrosafe Tablet 5 contains letrozole (2.5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Aromatase Inhibition: Letrozole blocks an enzyme called aromatase in the body. This enzyme produces estrogen, a hormone that can stimulate the growth of certain types of breast cancer cells.
• Increased Fertility Hormones: In cases of infertility due to anovulation, the reduction in estrogen levels prompts the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland. These hormones assist in stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs and promote ovulation.
