Lacozion 150 Tablet 10 is a medicine used to control partial-onset (focal) seizures in people with epilepsy. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing lacosamide, which belongs to the antiepileptic (anticonvulsant) class.
This medicine is also used as an add-on treatment for primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in people with epilepsy. It may be used alone or together with other antiepileptic medicines for partial-onset seizures. It is taken by mouth, with or without food, and the tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Follow your doctor's prescribed dose, frequency and duration.
Tell your doctor if you have heart conduction problems, severe heart disease, kidney or liver problems, or a history of depression or suicidal thoughts. Inform your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you take, particularly medicines that affect heart rhythm or cause drowsiness. Tell your doctor if you experience severe dizziness, fainting, irregular heartbeat, new or worsening mood changes, or a new rash, especially with fever or mouth sores. This medicine should generally be avoided during pregnancy unless your doctor considers it necessary, and breastfeeding is generally not recommended during treatment. Do not stop taking it suddenly or change the dose on your own.
