Keralin Ointment is used to manage thickened, scaly skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, warts, corns and ringworm. It helps reduce inflammation and itching while softening thickened skin.
It contains hydrocortisone, a mild corticosteroid, along with benzoic acid and salicylic acid, which have antimicrobial and skin-softening properties. Apply a thin layer to the affected area as prescribed by your doctor.
Keeping the skin well moisturised, avoiding tight or harsh footwear if applying to the feet, and gently removing thickened skin as advised by your doctor support treatment alongside this ointment.
Tell your doctor if you have a skin infection or broken skin in the area before starting. Avoid prolonged use without medical advice, as long-term use of corticosteroid-containing ointments can thin the skin. Report increasing redness, swelling, or signs of infection.
