ISODIT 60 SR TABLET 10 is used for the long-term prevention of angina pectoris in adults with coronary artery disease, helping to reduce the frequency of angina episodes.

Uses of Isonitrate 60 SR Tablet are:

• Angina Prevention: Helps prevent episodes of chest pain by improving blood flow to the heart.
• Long-Term Use: Used as a maintenance treatment, not for acute angina attacks.
• Coronary Artery Disease: Helps manage symptoms and reduce the cardiac workload.

Follow these instructions while taking ISODIT 60 SR TABLET 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Take this medicine at the same time each day.
• You can take this medicine with or without food.

ISODIT 60 SR TABLET 10 is taken orally.

ISODIT 60 SR TABLET 10 contains isosorbide mononitrate (60 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: Isosorbide mononitrate acts as a vasodilator, relaxing the smooth muscles in the walls of blood vessels, causing them to widen and allowing more blood to flow through them.
• Improved Cardiac Blood Supply: By dilating the coronary arteries, this medicine increases the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle, which helps prevent the oxygen deprivation that causes angina pain.
• Reduced Cardiac Workload: The medicine dilates veins throughout the body, decreasing the amount of blood returning to the heart. This reduces the volume of blood the heart needs to pump, thereby lowering the workload on the heart.
• Decreased Oxygen Demand: With less work required from the heart, the oxygen demand of the heart muscle decreases, which helps prevent angina attacks that occur when the heart does not receive enough oxygen.
