Inramed 5 Tablet 10

Inramed 5 Tablet 10 is used to manage orthostatic hypotension.

Uses of Inramed 5 Tablet 10 are:

• Orthostatic Hypotension: Helps prevent a sudden drop in blood pressure and dizziness on standing up.
• Reduced Cardiac Output or Hypovolaemia: Helps manage low blood pressure linked to these conditions.
• Postural Symptoms: Eases weakness, lightheadedness and blurred vision caused by insufficient blood flow.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor.

• Take this medicine during daytime hours when you are upright.

Inramed 5 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Inramed 5 Tablet 10 contains midodrine (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 Adrenergic Stimulation: Midodrine is a prodrug that gets converted to its active form called desglymidodrine, which stimulates alpha-1 receptors in blood vessels, causing them to constrict.

• Blood Vessel Constriction: It causes the arteries and veins to narrow, which increases the resistance in the circulatory system and improves blood circulation throughout the body.

• Blood Pressure Elevation: By constricting blood vessels, midodrine raises both systolic and diastolic blood pressure without significantly affecting heart rate, helping maintain adequate blood flow to the brain and other vital organs.

• Blood Pooling Prevention: It prevents excessive pooling of blood in the lower extremities when standing up, which helps reduce dizziness and fainting.

• Store at room temperature (below 30°C) in a cool, dry place.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until use.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Store out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
