Inramed 5 Tablet 10

Inramed 5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Treatment of orthostatic hypotension

• Managing dizziness when standing up quickly

• Preventing fainting due to low blood pressure

• Addressing hypotension related to reduced cardiac output

• Correcting insufficient blood flow and pressure

• Managing weakness associated with low blood pressure

• Preventing excessive blood pooling in legs

• Controlling lightheadedness from postural blood pressure changes

• Supporting blood pressure regulation during daytime activities

• Take this medicine orally with a glass of water.

• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking it.

• Avoid taking it late in the day or just before lying down.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• Follow your doctor's instructions about when to take each dose.

Inramed 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Inramed 5 Tablet contains midodrine (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-adrenergic activation: Midodrine stimulates specific receptors called alpha-adrenergic receptors in blood vessels throughout your body. This action helps your blood vessels to tighten or constrict.

• Blood vessel constriction: By causing the blood vessels to narrow, midodrine prevents excessive pooling of blood in your legs when you stand up. This helps maintain proper blood circulation.

• Blood pressure stabilisation: The constriction of blood vessels increases your blood pressure, particularly when standing, which helps counter the drop in pressure that causes orthostatic hypotension symptoms.

• Sympathetic nervous system balance: Midodrine works with your sympathetic nervous system (the part of your nervous system that controls your "fight or flight" response) to help balance blood distribution in your body.

• Store Inramed 5 Tablet in a cool, dry place at temperatures below 30°C.

• Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Do not store in the bathroom.

• Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and discard properly if expired.

• When managing orthostatic hypotension, increase your salt and fluid intake (unless otherwise advised by your doctor) to help maintain blood volume and pressure when standing up.

• Avoid standing up quickly from sitting or lying positions; instead, rise slowly in stages to give your body time to adjust blood pressure and reduce dizziness.
