Ceftriaxone (1000 Mg) + Tazobactam (125 Mg)

Infutrax Tz 1000/125 MG Injection 1 is used to treat severe bacterial infections affecting the lungs, skin, urinary tract, and abdomen. This combination of third-generation cephalosporin antibiotics and beta-lactamase inhibitors works by eliminating infection-causing bacteria and preventing their growth. It helps manage complicated infections and improve recovery from bacterial diseases.

Before starting this medicine, it's crucial to consult your doctor for the correct dosage and frequency. Inform your doctor about any pre-existing health conditions or ongoing medications. Infutrax Tz 1000/125 MG Injection 1 is used to manage complicated intra-abdominal infections, complicated urinary tract infections such as pyelonephritis, hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia, ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia, and bacterial septicaemia.

Here's how you should administer Infutrax Tz 1000/125 MG Injection 1:

The injection is to be given intravenously, preferably over one hour.
Make sure a trained healthcare professional administers the injection.
Before administering, ensure the solution is appropriately diluted with a compatible IV solution.
After reconstitution, the solution should be used within 24 hours if kept at room temperature or within 7 days if refrigerated.

Infutrax Tz 1000/125 MG Injection 1 may cause common side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, headache, constipation, rash, fever, difficulty falling asleep, elevated liver enzymes (indicating liver function changes), and hypokalemia (low potassium levels).

Ceftriaxone (1000 mg): The main function of this ingredient is to damage the wall of the bacteria's cell by binding to certain proteins (penicillin-binding proteins) on the cell's inner membrane. As a result, the peptidoglycan chainsformation is disrupted thus weakening the cell wall's strength and rigidity. This causes cell lysis.
Tazobactam (125 mg): It protects ceftriaxone from being broken down. Ceftriaxone can be broken down by enzymes (beta-lactamases) produced by resistant bacteria. By attaching itself to these enzymes and rendering them ineffective, tazobactam ensures that ceftriaxone can perform its antibacterial function even against resistant beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.

Pregnancy

Exercise caution when using Infutrax Tz 1000/125 MG Injection 1 while pregnant. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant if this injection is prescribed to you.

Breastfeeding
