Imbruvica 140mg Capsule is used for the following:

• Treatment of mantle cell lymphoma in adults

• Managing chronic lymphocytic leukaemia

• Treatment of small lymphocytic lymphoma

• Managing Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia

• Treatment of chronic graft-versus-host disease

• Supporting patients after stem cell transplantation

Follow these instructions while taking Imbruvica 140mg Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the capsule.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels.

Imbruvica 140mg Capsule is taken orally.

Imbruvica 140mg Capsule contains ibrutinib (140 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibition: Ibrutinib blocks a specific protein called Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), which plays a crucial role in the development and function of B cells (a type of white blood cell).

• Cancer cell signal disruption: By inhibiting the BTK protein, ibrutinib interrupts the signals that cancer cells depend on for their growth and multiplication.

• Slowing cancer progression: The targeted action on abnormal B cells prevents them from surviving and proliferating, effectively slowing down or stopping the progression of cancer.

• Store Imbruvica 140mg Capsule below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep the medicine in its original container for best protection.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use the capsules after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you are managing blood cancers like chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or mantle cell lymphoma, avoid contact sports or high-risk activities that could cause injuries, as ibrutinib can increase your bleeding risk.

• If you have chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or other blood cancers, include plenty of iron-rich foods (like leafy greens and beans) in your diet to help maintain healthy blood cell levels.
